The Society

Dedicated to Protecting and Maintaining our Preserve

The Preservation Society for Spring Creek Forest is an all-volunteer group dedicated to protecting and maintaining the Preserve in Garland. The Society was formed in 1989 by an agreement between Dallas County Open Spaces, the City of Garland and Garland Parks and Recreation department that the Society would help maintain and preserve Spring Creek Preserve and Greenbelt. The Society is a 501(C)(3) non-profit organization.

The Society schedules guided walks and volunteer projects which are led by experts, and we have a monthly speaker series on topics relevant to the Preserve. Most activities are free and open to the public, however some activities are for Society members only.

Meeting the ensuing goals and responsibilities is possible, but not without help from concerned citizens. The Society needs people like you who know that protecting precious natural resources such as Spring Creek Preserve is not a luxury, but a necessity. With your help, the Preservation Society for Spring Creek Forest can continue working toward those goals. We hope you will volunteer and/or become a member of the Society.
