TXLR CBC Maps &Forms

Welcome all to the 2009 Lake Ray Hubbard Christmas Bird Count!  Please click on thumbnail forms to print out and bring with you on the count if you are a Team Leader.

Lake Ray Hubbard Christmas Bird Count, Sunday December 20th, 2009
Some of the highlights from past CBC's have been Red-Breasted Merganser, Lesser Black-backed Gull, and Sora Rail.   Let's make the 110th Count another success as we count around Lake Ray Hubbard, city parks, wetlands, riparian areas, and flyovers.  Those who wish to receive handouts, count forms, rare bird forms and maps should plan on meeting on the north side of Miller Road just across from the old Woodland Basin parking lot at 6:30 AM. We can see if we'll be short or need to group more participants. Maps of the morning meeting place and count areas as well as online printable CBC Forms are posted on the Count's forms & maps web page (click on each area thumbnail). Please plan on meeting at the end of the Count at 5:30 PM at Siciliano's Taste of Italy at 2210 W. Buckingham Road in Garland for our official tally and dinner (optional).  We're looking forward to the Count since it had been a big success in the last couple of years. For further details phone
 (214) 771-1383 cell or email compiler Jack Hill. Supported by the Preservation Society for Spring Creek Forest. See their website for details, maps, and forms!

We meet on Sunday, December 20th,  meet at 6:30 am and depart before 7AM in separate groups under assigned Team Leaders.  It will be dark so drive and park with caution on the north side of East Miller Road across from the Woodland Basin Park parking lot (for GPS users the coordinates are latitude 32°53'39.04"N and longitude  96°35'33.93"W  ....if you prefer park at Woodland Basin directly across the road if the gate is open.  I most years it has been closed due to flooding and maintenance issues.  If you get lost call me on my cell at 214.771.1383
